What I like about my work?

My final piece was fairly originally confusing, and very different compared to what it has now become. For example it was originally going to be a post apocalyptic city scene that would include half destroyed buildings that would be based off modern buildings today. it was also originally going to take references and inspirations from buildings from New York, London and Boston. But I kinda of strayed from that idea and just decided to create a city scene to the best of my potential. And if I am honest, I'd say I enjoyed doing that more.

What I dislike about my work?

I dislike the fact that I didn't have enough time to texture the entire thing. The plain blue untextured look appears to seem unprofessional and not to my full potential. Even with the select few buildings that I did texture, with one of them, the texturing is very blurred and once again..... unprofessional, I am slightly ashamed to have not been able to freshen up my work to the best of it's potential, but it's still not too bad.

What would I have done differently?

I would like to think that I would've done some of the texturing different and or, maybe some of the building designs/models. Or I might up the resolution of the rendering, just to help it out.

Overall

Overall I enjoyed the project and would've loved to have had more time put into it, My work isn't to the best of my potential, but I am proud of what I have done so far granted my lack of knowledge towards Autodesk 3DS MAX.

So Far!!!!

So far I have modelled many buildings, including the odd few that I have decided to texture. The end result will be the city block rotating on a pivot with a few of the textured buildings on a slide with the textured buildings also rotating.

My Idea

I will be using 3Ds MAX to create a 3D Model of a section of a city, The 3D model will be animated to rotate on a point so you can see the whole model from every angle.

The 3D Model will be based off this:

My game is a post-apocalyptic survival horror about the mass undead that have taken over the 240 square mile long city of Saint Leonardo. Due to the great infection, the military forces quarantined the city in hope to contain the situation; other actions were taken to lower the amount of hostiles in the area. Firebombing inflamed the city with a high success rate of hostile eradication. Unfortunately, this also destroyed and burnt out most of the buildings, and killed off most of the surviving (human) population. Those who did survive live in the underground tunnels/vaults. Huge metal containers were made to be barely possible to breach, these massive Cast iron vaults were inside the old, mossy, cold, nearly destroyed sewage tunnels.

Influences

One of my influences comes from YouTube user 'MrMundo3D' Who created the Animation 'RUIN 3D Animated short film

My Second influence was an animation project that was part of the 'Duran Blender Open Movie Project', The Animation called 'Sintel' (which can be seen below) is a Well Textured Highly rendered project that inspires the 3D builds that i will hope to achieve
